Circle Forestation around Dhaka (CFAD)

Dhaka is the capital city of Bangladesh, though the current environmental situation in the capital is hazardous. The city has less than (5-6) % of forestation proportionate to its area.

Dhaka is also most population dense city in the world. So, there is no enough space for forestation other than rooftop. SED Foundation has planning on this situation. To improve the environmental situation there is no way other than increasing the amount of trees. In order to increase the amount of forest the Organization has undertaken a Program which is called “Circle Forestation around Dhaka (CFAD)”.

Project Site:

Under this program, the Organization will cover the districts Narayanganj, Gazipur, narsingdi, Manikganj, Munsiganj, Faridpur etc will be under the forestation program which will be social and public oriented.
